Meet Lucy

We finally decided to get another dog. After much looking and talking, Bill went by the pound and found a little, mostly lab, brown puppy that I think reminded him of that other puppy we miss so much.

We surprised Garrett at school with her. He was so excited to find her in his car seat and he road the whole way home with one hand on her.

She has turned out to be such a good little dog. She doesnt cry at night. She hasnt destroyed anything, yet. And most of all... she seems to love Garrett as much as he loves her.

Kerrville Stock Show

Garrett's class went on a quick field trip to the Kerrville stock show last week. Bill and I were both able to go, which made it extra fun. The kids just loved watching the pigs being shown in the arena and I have to admit that they did crack me up. After the swine we moved on to look at sheep, cows, and finally goats. We watched one of the many classes of goats, then went to see Mrs. Anita's daughter's pigs. I would imagine that naps were a little longer than usual that day.

What's in a name????

We are down to less than 3 months until our little one is here. I think we know what her name will be, but we just dont know how to spell it. I like the name Macie, but with Marie as the middle name, can we spell it "ie"?

Last day of 2008

For the last day of 2008 we decided to go fishing. Garrett was very excited. They recently released trout in the Llano in Junction, so we went there. We didnt have much luck with trout, but did better with bass. Garrett fished for a while, then enjoyed playing with one of his new remote controled vehicles.
Later we came home and once it was dark lit a few fireworks. Thanks to daddy's silencer muffs, Garrett actually got to enjoy our little show.
